Abstract

"In 2004, Yeap Leong Huat, grandson of Yeap Chor Ee, funded a research team comprising historians and translators to trace the Yeap family genealogy. The search brought the team to various locations in China and took over two years to unearth the complete family ‘Jiapu’ or Book of Generations. It took another two years to compile and translate the data. The research has led to the recording of close to 3000 names from 117 generations dating all the way back to 2500 years ago to the first progenitor." - Notes from the donor
